The Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is holding a fundraiser Saturday, November 16th.. Vice President of the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens’ Board of Directors and Co-Chair of Program and Events Ina Heideman says they’ve planned a chocolate related murder mystery.
“The people who attend will be the detectives to figure out who murdered the Chocolatier because it’s called ‘Death by Chocolate’. With your admittance you’ll be treated to lots of different kinds of chocolates, wine paired with chocolates, cocoa, and anything else chocolate. We are collaborating with Newton Arts and Artists for that.”
The murder mystery fundraiser will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 16th. Admission is $36.50 per person, which includes dessert and beverages. Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a 19.5 acre site at 3030 North 4th Avenue East in Newton that has all different varieties of trees, gardens attended by our horticulturist and volunteers, a pond, sculptures, and a prairie.
