The Pleasantville volleyball team concluded their 2024 season on Monday night.
The Trojans fell in straight sets to Pella Christian in a regional semifinals match. However, there was plenty to be excited about for Pleasantville volleyball in 2024. The Trojans earned 24 wins as a team and saw several players reach milestones. Seniors Emily Roe and Londan Foley both broke the former career digs record at Pleasantville, and senior Hope DeMan broke the school record for blocks in a season when she surpassed 58 and finished with 61. Roe also joined the 1,000 career digs club to cap off a remarkable career for the Trojans. As a team, the Trojans broke the total team digs record for a season with 1,301.
Pleasantville played a tough schedule under first year head coach Ammie McGraw and didn’t see any action on their home court until September 29th as they had to play a majority of their season on the road. The Trojans beat ACGC in the opening round of the postseason after falling to them twice earlier in the season. Pleasantville will graduate five seniors, but they have a strong foundation returning next season.
