The Jasper, Marion, and Poweshiek Counties Early Childhood Iowa Board will meet in Newton tonight. The board is made up of three members from each county. There is a citizen representative from each county. The other board members represent the fields of health, faith, business, education, and human services. The goal is to provide resources, support, and opportunities to families with young children in the three counties. Tonight’s meeting will include a report from Jasper, Marion, Powehiek Counties Early Childhood Iowa Director Amy Blanchard. Reports on Preschool Scholarships and the 2025 Fiscal Year Budget will also be made. Tonight’s meeting is open to the public and will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Jasper County Extension Office on the DMACC Campus at 600 North 2nd Avenue West in Newton.
