The Knoxville Area Community Theatre (K-ACT) production of Fiddler on the Roof opens tonight at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.
The musical will be presented tonight, Saturday and Sunday with show times at 7:00 PM tonight, 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday.
The story is set in the early 1900s and centers on Tevye, a milkman in the village of Anatevka, in what is now the country of Ukraine. The show features many songs, including “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”. Fiddler on the Roof weaves humor and heartache into an experience that audiences have enjoyed for nearly 60 years.
Tickets are $15 and are available for purchase here. If seats are available, cash-only general admission tickets will also be sold at the door 30 minutes before each show time.
