The All-South Central Conference Volleyball selections have been announced and Knoxville was well represented on 1st, 2nd and honorable mentions this season. On the first team was Hannah Dunkin. Dunkin was 2nd in the conference with 266 kills and was 2nd in the conference in digs 322. She also finished her career with 1,002 career digs. Also on the first team was Rylyn McCarty. She had 174 kills which was 7th in the South Central Conference and led the conference with 75 blocks this year. Abbie Keitges was also picked for the 1st team. The Panther Libero led the conference with 504 digs. On the 2nd team was Addy Dunkin. Being the #1 setter she was 2nd in the conference with 693 assists. Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she was most proud of how several girls adapted to new roles.
Keitges: “Overall the team and everybody had to step into new roles, and our success really depended on how the kids embraced their new roles.”
On honorable mention was Jordyn Counts, who was another that was in another role as she played mostly front row this season. Also earning honorable mention was Siena Scott and Addisyn Williams. Knoxville finished the season 23-17 and lost to Carlisle in the class 4A regional semi-final.
