Meredith Clark with the Knoxville Police Department has been selected as the Community Service Officer of the Year by IowACE.
Clark was nominated by the Knoxville Police Department. Letter of recommendations were written by Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller, Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery, Knoxville Police Department Officer Manager Arlene Worrall, Knoxville City Clerk Jodi Wyman, Knoxville Director of Planning and Zoning Nathan Parch, Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman and State Center Police Chief Jon Thomas.
A social media post by the Knoxville Police Department states that:
“Meredith has gone above and beyond time and time again in making sure the community is cared for while enforcing city codes. She has constantly demonstrated unwavering integrity, honesty, and moral character. She is a person of high principles and always strives to do what is right, even in the most challenging situations. Meredith’s ethical conduct and strong moral compass serve as a commendable example to others. Not only is she the Knoxville Community Service Officer but she also serves as a Reserve Officer for the Knoxville Police Department and State Center Police Department.”
Iowa Association of Code Enforcement Community Service Officer of the Year award for 2024 is awarded for the most outstanding code enforcement work by an individual for the prior calendar year.
