The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Thursday, approving the purchase of 154 acres of land adjacent to Woodland Mounds for $805,000. The county will also take advantage of a resource enhancement and protection grant that was awarded to the county for $495k, in addition to other fundraising efforts by the Warren County Conservation Board. The county will put up initial funding of $154,000 and be reimbursed by the grant funds from the state.
The board also approved a bridge replacement contract on 180th Street south of G76 for $714,396, a road vacation on 215th Avenue, and an agreement between the city of Norwalk and Warren County Conservation regarding Blue Marsh, ARPA funds for county maintenance projects, and the Fiscal Year 2024 Cash Annual Financial Report. The board also made appointments to the Compensation Board and tabled a memorandum of understanding regarding jailer hours at the Warren County Justice Center.
