A Monroe man has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to court records, beginning on October 13th, 53-year-old Charles Regnier allegedly initiated and continued conversation with a 15-year-old female through a chat feature on an online dating platform. The believed minor stated her age as fifteen several different times, and the defendant acknowledged several times certain content was illegal in their conversation and he could be criminally charged. The defendant requested numerous times for the believed minor female to send explicit images of herself and stated several times his desire to conduct sexual acts with the believed minor. The defendant then sent explicit images of himself to the believed minor. 

Regnier was arrested on November 8th and is charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Acts, which is a Class B Felony.
