The Marion County Board of Supervisors discussed the EMS Advisory Council at their meeting Tuesday.
At the meeting, Marion County Attorney Jared Harmon presented the board with a list of those who could make up this council since EMS has now been declared an essential service in the county. No action was taken and this was just done out of transparency, and the item will be brought back at a future meeting. After some lengthy discussion the board also did not take action regarding the Iowa Department of Corrections requesting to rent out office space at Marion County Public Health.
The board then approved a road department request for a City of Monroe county line road pavement rehabilitation project with funding from Local Option Sales and Service Tax funds. The board then took no action regarding an extension agreement between the City of Pella, Marion County, and the Pella Community School District regarding the Prairie Ridge West Urban Renewal area. The meeting concluded with the board entering into closed session.
