Indianola City Manager Ben Reeves will be leaving his position in December, taking the City Manager position for the City of Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Reeves tells KNIA News the move was a tough decision to make, as the work is not yet done in Indianola, but the prospect of being closer to family was a major factor.

“It sure comes with mixed feelings, it’s bittersweet. We’ve loved our time in Iowa, and seen the community prosper and grow and see relationships with Simpson College, with Warren County, and the Indianola Community School District all improve. And just seeing a lot of great developments on the horizon and good things happening. All that being said, my wife sure spends a lot of time at the Des Moines Metro Airport flying back to see grandkids and kids, so the heartstrings are pulling, and this is a great opportunity to move back to the Utah County area.”
