Visitation for Vernie Keith Johnson, age 87, will be held at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, Iowa on Friday, November 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service with full military rites at Rock Creek Cemetery in Kellogg, Iowa, at 11:30 a.m. After the burial, friends and family are invited to gather for a luncheon at The Tribute Center in Newton to celebrate Keith’s life and the many memories he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you make a donation in Vernie’s name to Foursquare Church in Newton or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
