The 2024 Iowa Girls State Swimming and Diving Meet at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA begins today. Five Newton Colfax-Mingo Aquagirls will be in individual events, attempting to make the finals on Saturday. Senior Addison Van Maanen competes in the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard Breaststroke. Junior Harper Barton swims in the 50-yard Freestyle and the 100-yard Breaststroke. Senior Alex Riney will be in the 50-yard Freestyle, while Senior Peyton Ray is in the 100-yard Freestyle and Junior Tori White swims in the 100-yard Backstroke. 

Saturday the Newton Colfax-Mingo Pella 200-yard Medley Relay, and the 200-yard and 400-yard Freestyle Relay teams will swim at the State Meet. The 200-yard Medley Relay consists of Tori White, Addison Van Maanen, Izzy Lane, and Paige Benson. The 200-yard Freestyle Relay is made up of  Peyton Ray, Tori White, Alex Riney, and Harper Barton. The 400-yard Freestyle Relay includes Peyton Ray, Alex Riney, Addison Van Maanen, and Harper Barton.
