Norwalk Parks and Recreation will hold their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse next Friday.
The new facility houses the Norwalk Parks and Recreation offices, and has a commons area for senior and teen programming, a multi-use court with rubberized gym flooring, four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, six pickleball courts, and rental space for public practices, tournaments, and other community events.
For the grand opening, residents are encouraged to visit and try out the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse for free one day only from 8 am-6:30 pm. In addition to the free play, there will be senior coffee and games from 10-11 am, the ribbon cutting and speakers at 4 pm, and giveaways from 5:30-6:30 pm.
The grand opening of the City State Bank Norwalk Fieldhouse will conclude with a movie on the courts at 7 pm. Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” will be the featured film, and Mullets and Benny’s Beans Concessions will be available for the event.
