The fifth annual Merry-N-County Christmas drive-thru light display presented by THRIVE Knoxville and the Marion County Historical Society will start on Friday.
This event held at Marion County Park will be held after this Friday every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm until December 24th. This light display is made possible by different community businesses, groups, and organizations, who create displays along the drive-thru path. This event is a free will admission and there will be direct access to the North Pole as Santa Claus himself will be there most nights and there will be a mailbox where you can place your letters to Santa along with a photo booth. As you are driving through the light display you can tune the radio in your vehicle to 95.3 KNIA for Christmas music. Tyler Christian who is on the Merry-N County Christmas Steering Committee encourages everyone to check out this event.
“We have nearly 90 displays. Most of these are not your commercial cookie cutter displays. There are a lot of very unique and creative displays created by the Marion County community. There is an over mile route that is jam packed with Christmas lights that the whole family can enjoy.”
