Helping Hands Food Pantry in Knoxville is looking for toy donations ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
Helping Hands has an annual gift sharing event where people in the community can come in and pick out toys or clothing if they might not be able to afford Christmas gifts. The gift sharing event this year will be on December 21st and Helping Hands board member Pat Finan encourages the community to donate to help everyone be able to put gifts under the tree.
“People who are in need who might not be able to put something under the tree can come in and they can pick up toys as well as clothing and other gift items that you might want to have under your tree. We’re taking donations of new and slightly used items and you can drop those off at Helping Hand at 110 West Main St. any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 9-3.”
Helping Hands is also taking food donations for their annual Christmas food baskets.
