The Newton Public Library says this month’s annual Fall Book Swap was a record setter. Becca Klein is the Public Services Librarian at the Newton Public Library. She says a new high of 117 participants brought in gently used books, DVDs, and puzzles. They exchanged those for select new items.
“This year our fall book swap was the biggest we’ve ever had as far as participation and attendance goes.”
Klein says another Book Swap will occur this spring.
“We do two book swaps and sales each year. One in the fall and one in the spring. So our next one will be the spring one, which is penciled in for April.”
Klein says the Book Swaps foster a love of reading and recycling.
