
The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet Wednesday morning authorizing a Marion County Auditor’s Office General Election recount request.
This is for US Representative District One in a race that featured incumbent Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Democrat challenger Christina Bohannan. In Marion County, Miller-Meeks received 12,376 votes and Bohannan received 6,662. Miller-Meeks leads Bohannan by a razor thin margin after election day throughout the entirety of the district, which unofficially stands at 801 votes. The Board will meet at 9:00 am at 3014 E Main St. in Knoxville.
