Along with preparing for the season, Knoxville Girls Basketball Coach Matt Ritchhart and wife Megan have been preparing for the annual Panthers vs. Cancer Night. This season it will be January 24th when the Panthers host Davis County. Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they already have sent out letters to local businesses trying to get support for the event.

Ritchhart: “We’re probably going to start bombarding your business mail boxes, and Megan does a great job every year, it’s mostly her doing the work. We have a T-Shirt design from Ramaekers and we have that on our Panthers vs. Cancer Facebook page. We’ll have more information as it gets closer.”

Ritchhart adds the usual ceremony will be held in between the girls and boys games. Knoxville will get the season underway on Tuesday at PCM.
