One of the youngest Knoxville Boys Wrestling Squads is being assembled by Coach Skylar Spaur. After taking heavy graduation losses from last season’s team, Spaur will have to use possibly some freshmen in the line up. Spaur adds they take some early lumps, but their future is bright.
Spaur: “A difference than what we’ve had since I’ve been coach. A lot of new faces in the lineup this year after we lost Dan Gorskikh, Luke Spaur, and Marco Alejo. They hopefully do well and maybe get better for the future.”
Experience back this season is Regan Roberts, who just missed out on a state meet berth and Tristan Sinnard, who was a state qualifier last year, plus Jensen and Joe Finnegan. Spaur says the younger wrestlers are working hard and hopes throwing them in on varsity will help get them ready for the future. Knoxville gets its season underway December 5th in a dual at Nevada.
