While the South Central Conference will have its challenges, the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad will again load up its non-conference portion of the schedule with mostly Little Hawkeye Conference and Raccoon River Conference opponents. The LHC teams on the schedule will be Pella, Pella Christian, Newton, and Oskaloosa. Bondurant-Farrar from the Raccoon River Conference and Grinnell, who recently moved to the WaMac Conference. Coach Joel Keady tells KNIA/KRLS Sports each non-conference game will provide a different challenge, but he thinks if his guys can come together, they can be competitive.

Keady: “Every time you get a chance to step outside our conference there’s always challenges in the Little Hawkeye Conference, Raccoon River Conference, and Grinnell I know is in a new conference. I think if we come together and play to our best we can compete with anyone.”

Knoxville’s first non-conference encounter will not be until after the New Year starts with a home game against Red Rock Rival Pella on January 3rd. Knoxville will start up its season on December 6th against Cardinal. Listen to the Panthers all season long on 95.3 KNIA.
