The Central College men’s and women’s basketball teams open up American Rivers Conference play tonight, traveling to Indianola to take on rival Simpson College.

Looking to build on the momentum of a 5-2 start to the season, the Dutch women are hoping to continue their early season success by ending a 45-game losing streak to the Storm. Meanwhile, the 2-2 Central men’s squad will look to extend their winning streak over Simpson to seven games tonight, after sweeping the season series each of the last three years. Tonight marks the 145th matchup between the Dutch and Storm men’s squads since 1954, while the Central and Simpson women will meet for the 102nd time since 1973. In the all-time series, the Dutch men hold an 85-59 advantage over the Storm, while the Central women trail in their series 32-69.
