The Indianola girls wrestling team had three first place finishes at Norwalk on Monday, while the Indianola girls basketball team fell to Urbandale 57-47 in their season opener.
Nora Ohnemus took home first in the 100lb bracket, while Siera Becker won three matches to win first at 105lbs, and Jazelle Smith also placed first at 190lbs. Callie Chapman at 130lbs, Andrea Taylor at 135lbs, and Summer Wolff at 145lbs all placed 2nd. The Indians next hit the mats on December 5th hosting Newton.

The Indians girls fell behind 29-22 at halftime to the J-Hawks, and stuck around to keep the game close but were unable to close the gap to fall by 10. Alexa Guyer led the Indians with 11 points, while Madi Grover scored 10, and Dana Blake 9. Indianola falls to 0-1, and will host Waukee on December 3rd.
