Following the beginning competitions of the winter season for the Pella girls basketball and wrestling team, the Dutch hit the road again tonight before Thanksgiving arrives.

Pella’s hoopsters are heading on a long trek east to Mount Pleasant. Pella, who is 1-0 after a come-from-behind win over Atlantic last Friday, has played against the Panthers early in the season for nine consecutive years, all of which have been victories. Mount Pleasant is led by the returning Abby Carthey and her 8.8 points per game as a sophomore last winter.

First tip for varsity is scheduled for 7 p.m. on the long trek east on Highway 163.
