The Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad fell in its season opener to Wayne on Tuesday 51-37. Melcher-Dallas was playing shorthanded due to having a starter out. Coach Kelsey Goff told KNIA Sports her team gave up 17 offensive rebounds and foul trouble plagued her team. Addie Wadle scored 19 points to lead Melcher-Dallas while Kesley Reed scored six. Melcher-Dallas is off until next Tuesday traveling to Pleasantville.
