At one point, the Pella girls basketball team scored 35 consecutive points en route to their second win of the season, defeating Mt. Pleasant 57-16 Tuesday night.

Head Coach Blaine Forsythe credits the defense with generating the huge run.

“Once we were able to turn them over a few times in the full court we were able to find some offensive flow. We had a balanced attack with 12 girls finding the scoring column and we forced 30+ turnovers for the second game in a row.”

Kamryn Long led the Dutch with 14 points, three assists, and three steals, and Katie Scheckel added seven points.

The Dutch move to 2-0 overall, but the task gets much taller following Thanksgiving, as they welcome No. 2 North Polk to the Tulip City. Hear that December 3rd game live on 92.1 KRLS and watch on the Pella Dutch Live YouTube channel.
