The American Rivers Conference has released their all-conference football teams and Central College led the league with 15 selections.
On defense, defensive end Nick Bandy, defensive lineman Tate Hagen, linebacker Reid Pakkebier and cornerback Gavin Smith were all first-team choices. Safety Reece Miller and linebackers Cole Clark and Cael Fiderlein were tabbed for the second team.
Offensively, wide receiver Ryan Neu and offensive tackle Kade Tippet were first-team selections. Tight end Grant Nelson, running back Jase Grunder, and center Max Reitano were named to the second team.
Central nearly swept the first-team specialists honors as kicker Logan Sunvold, punter Austin Burns, and long snapper Josh Dennison were all selected. Cornerback Ben DeMeulenaere and offensive tackle Tyler Harms also received honorable mention.
Central’s 15 selections for the all-conference teams were more than league champion Wartburg and runner-up Coe, who each had 13 players honored.
Central posted an overall 8-2 record and went 6-2 in American Rivers Conference play to finish third in the league.
