A pair of Indianola football seniors were awarded All-State honors by the Iowa Football Coaches Association as announced earlier this week, as tackle Lathan McDaniel was named to the First Team, and Andrew DeWall to the Second Team at linebacker.
McDaniel helped anchor an offensive line that was a powerhouse for the Indians, rushing for a total of nearly 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns, while also helping protect an Indianola passing game that threw for an additional 17 scores.
DeWall helped lead an Indianola defense that was short handed all season long, earning 42.5 tackles and 8.5 tackles for loss, while also playing safety in multiple games.
Indianola ended the season with a 5-4 record.
