For the second straight week, a Simpson College wrestler has been named the American Rivers Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Keeley Kehrli earned the distinction following her performance at the 8 Women Battle, where she secured her first tournament title of the season. She joins teammate Ashley Cannon as Simpson’s recipients of the honor this year.

Competing at 160 pounds, Kehrli opened with a decisive pin against Maddie Hall (Wis.-Stevens Point) in 1:15, followed by an even quicker pin in just 29 seconds over Leah Schwenker (Wis.-Oshkosh) in the semifinals. Kehrli capped off the tournament with an 11-0 major decision over teammate Breanna Weir in the championship match.

Kehrli improves to 14-4 on the year and leads the Storm with 10 pins.

The Storm will return to competition on Tuesday, Dec. 5 when they host Augustana.
