One game in this season and the Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad will go to work fixing what Wayne exposed in the season opener on Tuesday. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports rebounding was an issue as her team gave up 17 offensive rebounds and the Saints were short handed due to an injured starter. Goff says her team needs to be stronger inside to make up for the losses.

Goff : “We definitely have to be stronger and better getting those defensive rebounds. We were missing Gabby and trying to fill in those losses from last season, too.”

Another area of concern was foul trouble as her team’s depth was tested early in the game on Tuesday. Melcher-Dallas visits Pleasantville on Tuesday.
