The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, which included a series of public hearings on housing lot plans and agreements with developers.

The council approved the Hillcrest/Downtown, Kentucky Ridge/North 6th Street, The Village, and Summercrest Hills Urban Renewal Plans, and agreements with Inception Group and IDG 3.

The council also discussed membership in the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, and opted to give an 18-month notice to exit the program and focus the hotel/motel tax funds that were provided to the organization locally. The council approved a preliminary plat for Pickard Commerce Park Plat 1, the land swap with Warren County, and continued a discussion regarding the posting of new city positions, opting to not add postitions for the Indianola Public Library and Public Works Department.
