The Tulip City’s dance teams are prepared to defend a legacy of success at state this week. Pella Forte won a Triple Crown in 2023 — sweeping all three state championships in their divisions, which came after multiple first place finishes in the past five years. Soloist Sietje Beukelman is also competing on Wednesday for an individual title in the Color Guard division. Hear from the seniors of Pella Forte on today’s Let’s Talk Pella. Pella Christian Shine will be featured on Wednesday’s program and perform twice on Thursday.

The Central College dance team will also compete this week in the Division II/III portion of the college event. The Dutch have swept the three categories at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association competition for three consecutive years. The ISDTA event takes place at Wells Fargo Arena and Hy-Vee Hall
