The Twin Cedars Basketball Squads will open up the season tonight at GMG. For the girls it is a rebirth as they did not field a team last season so the rebuild process is a little more different. Coach Jake DeGeest tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his floor leaders have a big responsibility almost like an extra coach on the court.
DeGeest: “They see someone out of position in our sets. they do a good job of tapping them on the back and saying you need to be over there, and just doing a great job of staying positive for everyone.”
The boys are looking for big things this season with new coach Kale Rodriges and while he is not sure what the end result will be, he wants his guys to think big. Tonight’s action is set to begin with the girls game at 6:30.
