After a program-best seven wrestlers were featured at the 2024 state meet, the Dutch boys wrestling program will start anew in the current winter season with many fresh faces in the lineup.

Pella’s boys wrestlers have a home meet tonight, and as the season wears on, the team’s lineup will work to fill the shoes of six seniors who made it the final days of the previous campaign.

Two-time state qualifier Logan Bruxvoort (21-6 in 2023-24, listed at 190) leads the way in his senior season, and is joined by many returners who came close to Wells Fargo Arena, including Colby Putz (25-8 in 2023-24, listed at 138), Carter Van Kley (18-12 last year), Rex Rhamy (22-21, listed at 150), Dax Putz (20-24, listed at 132), and Hunter Smith (19-13, listed at 175), among a few others.

The Dutch boys wrestling team opens the 2024-25 winter season tonight at home against Burlington and Ottumwa.
