For their final show of 2024, the Union Street Players will present Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady with eight total shows starting Friday. Performances at the Pella Community Center will be held at 7 pm on December 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 13th, and at 2 pm on the 8th, 14th, and 15th. My Fair Lady is based on a film adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion. In the musical, professor Henry Higgins and his colleague Colonel Pickering wager on if Higgins can turn flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady by changing her speech.
