The final winter sports team to make its debut has high hopes for a special end in March. Finding itself in the Iowa Preps, Bound, and other preseason rankings, Pella’s boys basketball team features several key returners after playing its last game in a wild overtime state quarterfinals contest with Waverly-Shell Rock.

The task won’t be easy for the Dutch, at least with a schedule that will likely rank among the toughest in Class 3A.

Jack McGuire, JR – 14.4 points, 7.6 rebounds per game
Brayden Traetow, SR – 9.5 points, 3.4 assists per game, 36.2% 3PT shooting
Austin Schulte, JR – 7.7 points, 3.9 rebounds per game, 38.3% 3PT shooting

Pella also features several varsity rotation players that will need to fill bigger roles, according to Head Coach Derek Schulte.
