Newton’s Park and Recreation staff were able to quickly fix some wind damage to the holiday light displays at Maytag Park this week. Some of the lights were not lit Wednesday evening as wind caused damage in a few areas. City staff was able to get everything back in place so all the lights were back on Thursday evening.
The Maytag Park Holiday Lights Display features over 200 displays and thousands of sparkling lights. The free, drive-through Christmas light display is presented by the City of Newton Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Clemon-Maki Insurance. It’s open every evening from dusk to 11:00 p.m. through January 1st.
