The Indianola boys swim team placed second at the Newton Invitational on Saturday, scoring 275 team points. Top three finishes for the Indians included Ethan Russell winning the 100m Freestyle, Alaka’i Moore was third in the 200m Individual Medley, Sawyer Massey was third in the 400m Freestyle, the 200m Freestyle Relay team placed third, and Diego Garcia was third in the 100m Butterfly.

The Indianola boys wrestling team won the Bob Murphy Invitational at West Delaware on Saturday, scoring 276.5 team points. First place finishers for the Indians included Sawyer Nelson at 120lbs, Stoney Wood at 126lbs, Mac Crosson at 138lbs, Ryan Young at 144lbs, and Carson Slorah at 215lbs, while Cameran Cunningham at 132lbs and Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs both placed second.

The Indians girls wrestlers placed 5th at Newton scoring 136 team points. Siera Becker placed first at 100lbs, while Callie Chapman at 125lbs, Summer Wolff at 145lbs, and Jazelle Smith at 170lbs all placed second.

Both Indianola teams will next hit the mats on Thursday against DCG.
