Competing for the second time this week, the Pella Christian bowling teams fell to Sigourney Keota Saturday afternoon. The Eagles boys fell in their match 2860-2111, while the girls squad was defeated 2407-1499. Pella Christian head coach Rod Blunck stated that while they were unable to come away with a win, he was happy to see that his young squads continued to show improvement. Leading the Eagle boys in the loss was Evan DeJong with a 2 game score of 346, followed by Logan Nunnikhoven at 281, Andrew VanKooten at 272, and Nathan Brouwer at 271. The Pella Christian girls were led on the day by Macy VanderHart at 246, followed by Bella Pu at 234, Hope Spencer at 201, and Sophie Guo at 195. The Eagles fell to 0-3 overall on the season, and are back in action next Saturday to host Gilbert in Oskaloosa at Statesmen Lanes.
