The Pleasantville boys wrestling team placed second at the Coach Riley Invitational hosted by Nodaway Valley and the girls team competed at Newton Girls Cardinal Classic on Saturday.

The Trojan boys placed second out of 12 teams and scored 174.5  team points. Tommy Booth had a first place finish for Pleasantville at 120 pounds and Zane Mullenix placed first at 157 pounds. Paul Gasparovich had a second place finish at 190 pounds

On the girls side, Amelia Latch  was the top finisher for Pleasantville finishing second at 155 pounds while Addie Koenig finished third at 145 pounds. Other place winners were Maggie Gasparovich finishing 6th at 155, Mya Pearson finishing 8th at 130, and Lizzy Haywood finishing 8th at 145. As a team the girls finished tenth with 43 team points.

The Trojan boys will be back in action on Tuesday at PCM while the girls will compete Monday at Saydel.
