Four of the six Dutch winter sports teams are in action today, all on road trips.
Coming off of a conference sweep of losses to Norwalk, the Pella basketball teams will find a pair of tough tests on the long trek southeast to Keokuk for first-ever matchups against the Southeast Iowa Conference school.
The 2-2 Dutch girls will try to find their footing after a pair of lopsided losses to state title contenders North Polk and the Warriors last week. The #13 Chiefs lost against Illinois school Quincy Norte Dame before defeating Washington last Friday. Junior Kendra Boatman leads the team with 16.5 points per game and 44.4% three-point shooting.
Pella’s boys basketball slate features two of the best post players in the state this week, and tonight, it’s 6-10 Junior Jaxon Clark, who tallied 18 points and 14 rebounds in an opening loss to Washington. He averaged a double-double per game in 2023-24, leading the Chiefs to the substate finals in February.

After a tough weekend in Williamsburg, the Dutch boys wrestling team heads to PCM for a quad meet. Matches begin at 5:30 this evening.
