In an effort to improve the relationship between the Secondary Roads department of Jasper County and Jasper County citizens, a new program is being started, which the county is calling “Ask the Engineer”.

Through this program, the Jasper County Board of Supervisors hope to identify areas of agreement and disagreement and/or misunderstandings, and work out potential areas of improvement. In the process, the County Supervisors hope to create a mutual understanding of the current issues, solutions available today, and reasonable changes that can be made in the future.

Each day of the “Ask the Engineer” program, Jasper County Engineer Mike Frietsch will be available at the Engineers Office to meet with residents and answer their questions at 7 a.m., Noon, and 3 p.m.. The “Ask the Engineer” sessions are scheduled for December 13th, February 13th, 2025, April 10th, 2025, and June 12th, 2025.

The Jasper County Engineer’s Office is located at 910 North 11th Avenue East in Newton.
