The PCM girls and boys basketball teams defeated Perry on the road Tuesday night in a Heart of Iowa Conference matchup and the wrestling team swept their home quad.

The #9 Mustang girls defeated the Jayettes 55-27. PCM held Perry to just 9 points in the first half going into halftime up 29-9. In the second half the Mustangs didn’t slow down as they secured the conference win to stay unbeaten as they improve to 6-0 on the season. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Tori Lindsay who had 19 points.

The boys defeated the Bluejays 73-58. The Mustangs trailed the Bluejays 38-28 going into the half but PCM was dominant in the second half and outscored Perry 45-20. Coach Tony Ford said his team was able to lock in and adjust in the second half. The Mustangs were led in scoring by senior Gavin Van Gorp who had 29 points. The PCM boys improve to 2-2 overall. Both the boys and girls teams will be back in action on Friday at Greene County. 

The boys wrestling team defeated Pella 38-27, Pleasantville 38-33, and Sigourney-Keota 40-29 at their home quad. The wrestling team will next compete on Thursday at Perry.
