The Knoxville Basketball games at Davis County were called off due to the incoming ice storm. This will make the month of January busier for the Panthers as they will have a stretch in the middle of the month with four games in a week’s span. Girls Coach Matt Ritchhart is not a fan of playing that many games together, but with illness invading his team, it may have been a blessing in disguise they did not play Friday night.

Ritchhart: “The sickness bug seems to always be Knoxville right before Christmas break even when I was on the boys staff. Some of the girls have been under the weather, the coachesd, and I have been under the weather, so hopefully we can get rid of the sickness and be ready for Chariton on Tuesday.”

The Davis County games will now be played Monday January 20th. Knoxville’s next scheduled games are Tuesday at Chariton. In addition to the entire Friday sports schedule wiped out for Knoxville, the entire Saturday slate has also been called off. That includes Boys Wrestling at Montezuma, and Bowling at Oskaloosa.
