Christian Opportunity Center recently received a donation of over $29,000 from the Pella Knights of Columbus, which was raised through the Knights’ annual Tootsie Roll Drive and Telethon.

The donation will support several key programs benefiting individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community. The funds donated to Christian Opportunity Center will go towards purchasing an additional vehicle for the Life Skills Program, and increasing the opportunities available for individuals supported by the organization to become more integrated into the community. The vehicle will help facilitate visits to local resources and provide real-life learning opportunities that help build valuable life skills. The donation will also be used to continue to grow their Spiritual Services Program and help support summer camps and trips for the individuals COC serves.
