Christmas is a week away and the City of Newton and Jasper County have put out reminders about upcoming holiday closures.

All City offices will be closed Christmas Day on Wednesday, December 25th. The Newton Public Library will be closed from Tuesday, December 24, to Thursday, December 26. Additionally, the Newton Sanitary Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th.

All Jasper County Offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday next week, December 24th and 25th. The Veterans Affairs Office and the General Assistance Office will be closed Monday, December 23rd through Wednesday, December 25th.
