Jasper County will be hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Community Development. The Jasper County Board of Supervisors approved this new position during their regular meeting Tuesday. 

Brandon Talsma, Chairman of the Jasper County Board of Supervisors, says the job was created with current Community Development Director Kevin Luetters’ retirement in mind. Having an Assistant Director on board will allow for a multi-year phase-in for Luetters replacement. Talsma noted there were problems when the Community Development Director prior to Luetters retired.

A salary for the position and the application period for the job have yet to be determined.
