100+ Men Red Rock presented a $5,000 check to Open Air Education in Pella on Wednesday.
Open Air Education was built to eliminate barriers to enter into aviation trades. The non-profit organization promotes aviation as an ideal STEM learning platform, while also making aviation accessible, affordable, and achievable. Jeff Jorgenson with Open Air Education says that the donation will go a long way in helping fund their efforts to help provide aviation education through a flight simulator.
“The 100+ Men organization has been a phenomenal impact to our organization and the community. We’ve been working for a little over two years now, to raise a total of about $40,000 dollars to get the flight simulator and the room that we’re going to put it in, all put together– and the $5,000 donation is the second biggest the amount of money that we’ve received as a gift towards this project. So. it’s huge for us.”
