The Knoxville Basketball Squads will wrap up the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule tonight against Centerville. Both Knoxville teams are looking to head into break with some momentum. The girls lost a slow paced game to Chariton Tuesday where the Panthers were unable to take advantage of Chariton mistakes and missed on several shot attempts. Panthers Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports hopefully home cooking to benefit his team.
Ritchhart: “I was hoping we would get 4-0 in the conference, maybe we can get 3-1. I think it’ll be a competitive game, probably a little sloppy but we’ve not yet won on the road, but we’ve won two games at home.”
The boys have carved through the first three opponents by an average margin of 38 points per game. Knoxville, for the most part, controlled the game against Chariton on Tuesday, but committed a few too many turnovers and was not quite crisp with the offense. Tonight’s girls game is set to get going at 6:15. Live coverage is on 95.3 KNIA at 6:00.
