A retired Jasper County Deputy has been hired to provide security at the Jasper County Courthouse. Jasper County Human Resources Director Dennis Simon says Brad Van Zante has been hired to fill one of the Sheriff Office’s part-time Deputy Sheriff Court Services positions.

“Brad was a prior deputy with the Sheriff’s Office for many, many years. He will come in at year four on the union contract under the deputy scale.”

The Jasper County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Van Zante’s hiring, effective immediately.
