The Indianola girls basketball team fell to #2 in class 4A North Polk on the road Thursday evening in a non-conference matchup, while the Indianola boys swimming team fell to Ames and Ottumwa in a triangular on the road.
Indianola fell to Ottumwa 127-73, and no team score was given for Indianola vs Ames. Ethan Russell won the varsity 50 and 100 Freestyle and Isaiah Picard won the para 50 and 100 Freestyle. The Indians next swim in 2025, traveling to Des Moines East in early January.
Indianola girls basketball stuck with the Comets early with a tied 11-11 score at the end of the first quarter, but the Comets exploded in the second quarter outscoring the Indians 34-4 in the frame to take control they wouldn’t relinquish and ground out the game in the second half for the win. Madi Grover led the team in scoring with 11, as they fall to 3-4 on the season.
